The Grant County Prospectors present the Legislative Communication Forum this Thursday, December 3 as a virtual event. Our local Legislators and presenters will use a Zoom link for their presentations. The public is invited to view the forum using a separate link found online at GrantCountyProspectors.org.

This annual forum offers local representatives of various Grant County sectors — including government, health care, education, and non-profit — an opportunity to outline their needs to current legislators who represent the county in Santa Fe. Each presentation is three minutes with a possible six minute Q&A from Legislators. Tentative times for the each sector are 8:15 a.m. for local governments, 10:35 a.m. for Education, 12:15 p.m. lunch break, 1:00 p.m. Education (2nd half), 1:40 p.m. Healthcare, and 2:20 p.m. Non-Profit/Community Presentations.

The Forum results in a summary notebook for each of the area legislators and sets the agenda for Grant County Day set for February 3, 2021.
Founded in 1978, the Grant County Prospectors could well be the very first regional advocacy group in the State of New Mexico. Prospectors is a nonpartisan and nonpolitical entity. The prospectors are a group of business leaders whose purpose is to educate policy makers and community members about the economic, community development and legislative needs in Grant County.
