The series, this being the 3rd one, for 2022-2023 season, is called “A Sunday Afternoon Recital.” Focused mainly on classical music for the first half and then a more meditative, light fare to follow. This recital will feature mainly the vocal artists couple Sherry and Bryce Wooton. Sherry will perform Mozart’s “Alleluja” and Bryce will begin with Faure’s “Les Berceaux,” followed by numerous other art songs. The Silver Chorale’s vocal quartet will perform 3 numbers including “Sicut Cervus” by Palestrina. Ending the first half the Wootons will perform a duet ”O, Divine Redeemer” by Charles Gounod.

The second half will feature  “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables, sung by Bryce and a duet from the musical Songs for a New World, “Stars and the Moon.”  A family trio, the Shireys, will sing “How Great Thou Art.” The handbell choir will perform a special effects piece called “Pizzicato.”  The recital includes 14 individuals. The director and accompanist  is Adele Giusto, music director of the Episcopal Church.
