72ndThis is the 72nd National Day of Prayer. The first National Day of Prayer was established through proclamation in 1952 by then President Harry S Truman. In 1988, President Reagan amended the law, designating the first Thursday of May each year as the National Day of Prayer. Since then, it has been proclaimed each year by every United States president.

All are welcome to attend. This event will unite people in prayer across many denominations and faiths.  We will pray for our families, churches, businesses and workplaces, education, media influencers, military and first responders, and our government and the governments of other nations. We hope everyone will consider joining us in this special event.

There is no charge for this community event. Seating will be available; however, we are expecting a large attendance. We are asking people to please consider bringing their own chairs.
