siemprebandThe Silver City Public Library is bringing library concerts back, starting on Tuesday, May 2, 6:00pm, with Grant County band Siempre. The concert will be in Gough Park, where there will be space to dance. As recently covered in local media outlets, Siempre is a Grant County band making a name for themselves in New Mexico, Texas, and beyond. Keana Huerta, lead singer, has just released her first single, Superhéroe, which is now appearing on Top 20 charts for Tejano music.

The concert is free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Library.

“It has been difficult to schedule concerts in this past year, and I am thrilled that Siempre will join us as we start again,” said Lillian Galloway, library assistant director. “A concert at Gough Park is a great way to celebrate spring, and we are gearing up for our busy summer season of activities.” The summer reading program will fill up the library’s calendar in June and July, and more concerts will be scheduled afterwards.
