Webinar: Friday April 3 at noon

The New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) is hosting a webinar on federal and state COVID-19 Business Assistance at noon on Friday, April 3.

Finance experts for the state will be joined by officials from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the N.M. Small Business Development Center, the Department of Workforce Solutions, representatives from the federal delegation, and staff from the Office of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.

The resources available to business owners are expanding quickly with most of the focus turning to the $2 trillion COVID-19 relief act (CARES) passed by the U.S. Congress, which includes direct loans and grants to small businesses.

Moderators will review the elements within the Federal CARES Act, discuss application guidelines, and answer questions. State experts will also review the financial assistance programs available through the Economic Development Department and other community partners, and explain the new guidelines for Unemployment Insurance.

If you are unable to access the presentation, you can call in and join by phone. A recording of this webinar will be available on the EDD website after its conclusion.
