OUR GEOGRAPHIC AREA ~ Silver City, Bayard, and Hurley cases are basically very low. Grant County cases showed a very small rise, positivity fell, and workplace case reports are very low. NM cases and positivity showed a rise, and case doubling times may indicate issues. Covid beds fell. Workplace reports rose but are still low. Delta is dominant in Grant and Dona Ana, with Omicron dominant in Luna. BA.2 has increased overall but XE (a BA.1 BA.2 mix) hasn't appeared in CDC or NM reports yet. All that being said, remember that mild cases from home testing are not reported, meaning there may be more cases than the official numbers show. Be safe.

NATIONALLY ~ CASES WERE INCREASING IN 28 STATES ~ Nationwide, COVID cases have fallen 6 percent in the past 14 days. However, cases were increasing in 28 states including CO, and Washington, D.C. but AZ, TX, NM were not among them. Over the next two weeks, daily COVID cases are projected to increase - ref: Mayo Clinic.

RECENT NEWS ~ The European Medicine's Agency is not supporting a second mRNA booster for ages 60-79 as there is little evidence immunity from severe disease is waning for those with the first booster. Over 80 then yes.
