THE OVERALL USA SUMMARY - November 19, 2022:

FLU, and RSV weekly cases rose. Covid cases are a mixed bag. Read on for more details.

Weekly US covid cases and beds oscillated and fell a bit, deaths fell, and admissions oscillated [page 5, 7, 8, 25]
The caution is US, AZ, and CO only report weekly making small trends harder to see. TX and NM have better reporting.
Weekly Influenza cases have risen for the 11th week [page 38, 39]
Weekly RSV cases rose in AZ, CO, TX, and NM. [page 41, 42]
Weekly Monkeypox cases are very low and may be leveling [page 43]

OUR LOCAL GEOGRAPHIC AREA (Grant County):

Grant County Week on Week cases oscillated, however daily raw cases rose [page 5, 16, 22]
Silver City and Bayard covid week on week cases oscillated, Hurley rose [page 17, 18].
Grant County covid hospital admissions were 2 in the last 7 days, but covid ED visits fell [page 23].
Covid deaths this week in Grant County 1, Luna 0, Sierra 0, Dona Ana 1 [page 15].

OUR STATE (New Mexico):

NM week on week cases this week rose; positivity rose, and NM hospital bed usage rose [page 13, 14, 24]

NEIGHBORING STATES:

AZ cases and beds rose, positivity leveled. CO cases and positivity rose, beds leveled. TX CO cases and positivity rose, beds leveled [page 9, 10, 11]. AZ and CO case doubling times are a concern [page 5]

HOSPITALS:

* US COVID daily hospital admissions (7 day average) oscillated, but not getting worse [CDC] [page 25]
* COVID inpatient beds in AZ, TX, and NM rose, CO leveled [HHS] [page 24]
* Grant County ED COVID like visits fell per HHS (their data lags) [page 20] and per NM DOH [page 23]
* COVID admissions in Grant County were 2 in the last 7 days (per CDC) [page 19]

ACTIVE PATHOGENS - COVID, INFLUENZA, RSV, MONKEYPOX

COVID: US all states [page 7, 34]
* This week: weekly COVID cases = 284,712, admissions = 23,156, deaths = 2,222
* Last week: weekly COVID cases = 288,989, admissions = 23,713, deaths = 2,352
* sub variants BQ.1.1 BQ.1 BF7 52.0% of all variants, and doubled in 19 days
* a new sub variant BN.1 is 1 in 20 cases in US now, was only 100 total cases a month ago

INFLUENZA: [page 38, 39] US shows a weekly rise for 11 weeks now
* US Flu this week: weekly: cases = 16220, admissions = 8707, deaths = 70
* US Flu last week: weekly: cases = 13883, admissions = 6465, deaths = 54

RSV: [page 40, 41] AZ and NM show a weekly rise for 11 weeks now. Most recent data is incomplete.
* RSV: AZ on 10/29 weekly cases were: 91 but data is incomplete
* RSV: NM on 10/29 weekly cases were: 85 but data is incomplete

MONKEYPOX: [page 43]
* US Mpox weekly cases: this week: 252 previous week: 224 Cumulative deaths: 12
