Reports from two partisan websites have attempted to derail Truth or Consequences resident Rebecca Dow's candidacy for the 38th District House of Representatives, distorting the facts in an effort to smear her personally.

The two websites reported in recent weeks Dow hired an alleged child molester without a background check, and then tried to silence the mother of one of the victims.

These reports originated from an GǣunfiledGǥ lawsuit prepared by a local attorney.
