beth ihle rsBeth IhleSilver City, NM — The Gila National Forest welcomes a new acting District Ranger for Silver City Ranger District. Forest Supervisor, Adam Mendonca announced that Beth Ihle would be joining the Gila National Forest on June 18 as acting district ranger.

Diane Taliaferro, currently the ranger for Silver City, has been offered and accepted a position as deputy Forest Supervisor on the White Mountains National Forest in New Hampshire. She has served as district ranger since 2013.

Ihle will begin on June 18 and serve on the Gila National Forest for a 120-day detail. She is currently the deputy district ranger for the Belt Creek-White Sulphur Springs Ranger District on the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. She has a strong background in a variety of resource management activities and years of experience in minerals administration. The forest looks forward to working with her over the upcoming months.
