The market from another direction
The Silver City Saturday Farmers' Market has moved to the canopy and area around it at the future location for the Silver City Food Co-op.
Work continues on the Co-op building from its former home of LifeQuest, but because the market's former location was in what is being developed as the MainStreet Plaza, the market had to move to a new site. Construction continues at the plaza.
The familiar vendors moved to the new site and may be moved around to provide better access to buyers. By the time these photos were taken, all tomatoes were gone, and a sparse amount of greens remained. Other heartier vegetables remained for sale. Frozen, from fresh, Gila Valley grass-fed beef, pork and lamb continued for sale, as did native and pollinator-attracting plants. Breads sat on one table.
Parking is available on Pope Street, and vendors will welcome you to future Farmers' Market at the new location through the end of the season in October.
