Bayard Police Chief Lee Alirez says that with the onset of winter, many residents with disabilities are in need of firewood to stay warm. He said the Bayard Police Department is partnering with “New Mexico Wild” to provide firewood to those residents for their wood-burning heaters and fireplaces. Alirez encourages those who need this resource to contact Judy Diaz at BPD, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., at (575) 537-3312.
