After several calls were received by Grant County Regional Dispatch Authority with reference to shots fired, officers responded to the Silver Cliff Apartments at 1414 Little Walnut Road at approximately 8:39 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019.

A male victim told officers that his white 2017 Chevy sedan had been shot. According to an incident report, officers observed four bullet holes in the vehicle, one in the rear passenger window, two in the rear passenger door, and a flat front passenger tire. The area was secured and searched for spent cartridge cases or people but neither was located, the report said. However, officers did observe four additional bullet holes in the southeast corner of an apartment building, two of which had entered the windows of the apartment. The apartment manager advised officers that that apartment was vacant and provided keys to the apartment.

The victim advised officers that he believed the shots were fired by two named individuals who he had exchanged words with the day before, according to the report.

The incident remains under investigation.
