On November 15, 2019 at approximately 9:30 p.m., A Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a male subject in the parking lot of the Snappy Liquor in Bayard, NM. The Deputy recognized him as Dominick Duran. He attempted to elude him. A short time later Central Dispatch confirmed that he had a violent felony warrant. Dominick led the Deputies into the Hurley city limits where he then fled leading the Deputies in a foot pursuit. Deputies were able to apprehend Dominick and he was later booked into the Grant County Detention Center.

Dominick’s charges include Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon, Aggravated Assault (household member), Felon in possession of a firearm, False Imprisonment, Battery (household member), Criminal Damage to Property of a household member, Failure to comply with conditions of probation, Violation of conditions of parole, Aggravated Fleeing and Resisting or Evading a police officer.
