A voter who had been standing in the early voting line, for more than an hour outside the Grant County Administration Center, this afternoon, Oct. 12, 2020, texted me and complained that the line had not moved for at least 25 minutes.

A call to Clerk Marisa Castrillo confirmed that "it was normal. A machine had to be cleared out, so it was replaced by another machine. The replacement machine had to calibrate itself, which takes several minutes."

She promised the line would begin moving again soon. "Tell your friend that she'll be able to get in soon."

[Editor's Note and Opinion: Maybe a better sense of communication with those in line would be in order?

And how many other things, beside messed up names on applications for absentee ballots and then corrected applications for absentee ballots, as well as issues with the absentee board, can happen before the voting process strains its credibility?]
