Silver City, NM (October 27, 2020) - Due to a statewide and local increase in COVID-related hospitalizations, Gila Regional Medical Center is, as of today, completely closed to visitation with a few exceptions:

- Minors may have 1 parent present

- 24-hour-caregivers (1 person) may accompany a confused patient

- Laboring mothers may have a significant other & mother at bedside

- Exceptions may be made for end-of-life care

- OR patients must have arrangements to be picked up after surgical procedure; designated pick-up person may not wait in lobby
