As soon as a new signed contract is returned

A call with Gila Regional Medical Center today confirmed that a contract between GRMC and the Veterans Administration had expired for the hospital to provide services to veterans.

"We support our veterans," a spokeswoman for the hospital said. 

She said the renewal of the contract came to GRMC with some changed components that the hospital was required to meet.

After reviewing the changes, Gila Regional confirmed that it could meet the requirements. The Interim CEO of the hospital signed the renewal last week and sent it back to the VA for its signature.

The spokeswoman said Gila Regional expects the contract to be returned "soon. We want to provide the best services we can for our veterans."
