On Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, A Silver City Police Department officer responded to a criminal damage to property call at 612 E. Yankie Street. The officer made contact with a female who stated that her son, Zachary Munoz, later determined to be 25-years-old, of the address, had damaged her door and left a bag of human feces outside the door.

According to an SCPD report narrative, Munoz' grandmother, who is the homeowner, advised that Munoz was banging on the metal security door so hard, demanding to be let in, when the damage occurred. The grandmother stated she did not want Munoz inside because of previous violent incidents. She valued the damage to the door at $250. The officer took photos of the door and advised he noticed a green plastic bag next to the front door that contained what appeared to be feces.

Munoz' mother stated that the grandmother is in the process of evicting Munoz and the door from Munoz' room to the rest of the house is locked. The officer asked the mother if Munoz has access to a bathroom and she stated "No."

Officers searched the area for Munoz but had negative contact. An affidavit for his arrest on the charge of criminal damage to property of a household member has been filed.
