On Wednesday November 18, 2020 at approximately 7:48pm, Grant County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a reported shooting incident near Silver City. Upon their arrival, Deputies had contact with one subject (victim) who had an apparent gunshot wound to the head. A suspect was also contacted and detained at-scene.

At the time of release, the victim has been flown out-of-area with life-threatening injury. The suspect remains in-custody as this incident is under active investigation by Grant County Sheriff's Criminal Investigations.
