Grant County Sheriff's Office deputies responded Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, to a reported shooting on Broken Arrow Drive in Silver Acres arriving on scene at 7:57 p.m., nine minutes after they were dispatched.

Witnesses stated, according to a trusted source, that a female's ex-boyfriend, Cody McDonald, had shot the female's boyfriend in the head and then ran to another house on the property. A witness could hear kids crying. Deputies requested EMS to stage at the Ridge Road Chevron near Highway 90.

According to Grant County Detention Center staff, McDonald remains in custody at that facility as of 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 21.
