At a closed session of the Silver City Town Council held Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, Town Manager Alex Brown introduced James Reynolds, a local attorney who is applying for the position of Town Attorney. Brown said the session gave council an opportunity to ask questions of Reynolds and to begin to feel comfortable with him as the hiring process moves forward.

Reynolds would be a town employee reporting to the town manager, according to Brown, whereas the previous town attorney, Robert Scavron, contracted with the town. The hiring process is expected to be completed soon after the first of the year.
