At the Bayard town council meeting this week, Bayard Police Chief Lee Alirez issued commendation letters to Grant County Regional Dispatch Authority employees who, while at the same time assigning resources, kept a caller calm and on the phone until aid arrived. In the second incident, two connected crimes were committed in short order and resources were allocated to both.
