I got a couple of responses, but neither was what I thought. One suggested the remains of the track of a coatimundi. I thought they were rabbit tracks, but they don't line up quite right. For sure, they are the remnants of an animal track that dashed across the road in deeper snow and then walked or ran along the side of the road. I didn't take a photo of the tracks in the snow leading to it. So now, I'm rethinking that it might have been a cat of some sort, such as a wandering cat, bobcat or maybe a fox? I guess we'll never know. But for sure, they are the remainder of an animal track is the snow melts away from the print. So, if you're ever out walking after a snow when things are melting, keep an eye to the ground. You can see amazing things!
