The one item on the Grant County Commission special meeting on March 17, 2021 open meeting agenda was the approval of a contract not to exceed $10,000 for legal services with Rody, Dickason, Sloan, akin and Robb. According to two commissioners it was for the firm to develop some personnel policies for Grant County.

The commissioners then went into an executive session concerning limited personnel matters regarding the County Manager's Office.

After they came out of executive session, District 1 Commissioner and Chair Chris Ponce made a motion to direct the county contracted law firm to retain an independent law firm to investigate personnel matters regarding the county manager's office. District 5 Commissioner Harry Browne seconded it. With no discussion the motion was approved.

District 4 Commissioner requested clarification of the meetings next week. Commissioners will hold a work session at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021, a closed meeting of the Gila Regional Medical Center Governing Board at 4:30 p.m. March 23, and the GRMC Governing Board regular monthly meeting at 9 a.m. March 25.
