A public recital will be presented on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at  3 pm. This is the second concert in the Good Shepherd 2019-2020 recital series. The church is located at 7th and Texas Streets in downtown Silver City. There is handicapped parking off of 6th street with a level walkway into the church.

The Jubilee Ringers, a handbell/chime group of 9 members, will open  each half of the recital with traditional bell ringing sounds. Later in the concert, familiar popular and hymn tunes will be played.

The Gorog family, Megan, Rhonda and Brian, will bring us the classical music our recital series is known for.  Bach and Mozart pieces for violin and piano will be in the first half. Megan will sing a vocal number in the second half. Rhonda  is the pianist for the Gorog family.

There will also be two piano duet numbers by Laurel Brown and Adele Giusto.  The first is an arrangement of Water Music by Handel.

We will end the last part of the recital with light, fun numbers.   The full bell choir will perform C Jam Mood.  Brian Gorog will play on trumpet  Leroy Anderson’s Trumpeter’s Lullaby and the piano duetists will end the program with Fiddle Faddle also by Leroy Anderson.

The recital is free to the public with donations always welcome and will be followed by a reception in the parish hall.
