Thursday, November 14,  Silver City Museum: The Saga of LC Ranch with Alex Ocheltree 12:00 pm -1:00 pm in the Museum Annex at 302 W Broadway St. The Lyons-Campbell Ranch was at its peak a one-million acre ranch owned by Englishmen Tom Lyons and Scottish prospector Angus Campbell. They created an empire that was one of the truly great ranches of the West until the still-unsolved murder or Tom Lyons in 1917, after which the ranch become an ice factory, a utopian commune for Great Depression refugees, and was finally was purchased by opera-singing collectors who have spent several generations restoring the LC Ranch to its former glory and beyond. Attendees of this lecture will get a pass to tour the newly renovated LC Ranch for only $10 (normally $15).

Monday, November 18,  Silver City Museum: Volunteer Gathering 10:00 am -12:00 pm. Come hang out with Museum volunteers and staff, get the latest news and on-the-ground views. A great opportunity to explore the Museum’s volunteer program and meet its participants. Attendees will hear a state-of-the-museum address from our Director Bart Roselli covering many topics. You will hear from several departments about exciting new volunteer opportunities, upcoming exhibits and events, and more! Thursday, December 12, Silver City Museum: Victorian Christmas 5:00 pm -8:00 pm. Put on your Victorian finest and head over for cookies, spiced cider, live music, gift exchange, Christmas shopping, and all-around holiday cheer. Costumes encouraged but not required: check out to Vintage Fantasies on Bullard Street for a special discount on Victorian clothes.
