Silver City, NM, November 20, 2019—For Immediate Release.  All Gila National Forest offices and ranger stations will be closed on Thursday, November 28. Regular business hours will resume Friday, November 29.  

Despite the office closure, law enforcement officers will be on-duty on the holiday for the safety of visitors.

Know Before You Go. Check the weather for the specific part of the forest you will be visiting at http://www.weather.gov/epz/. Remember to practice good campfire safety and respect your public lands by packing out your trash.
