“Piérre Nichols Presents” is a special month-long show featuring the Mimbres style gourd art and paintings by Master Gourd Artist, Pierre Nichols. Come and see the last available pieces of his gourd art as well as his new Mimbres paintings.

The Show will be at the Grant County Art Guild Gallery, 316 N. Bullard St., Historic Downtown Silver City, NM. Opening on Nov. 30 thru Dec. 27, 2019, Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, from 11am to 3pm. Come any time during the next few weeks, but if you want to catch Piérre in person and ask all the questions of him that you want, come to the Opening Reception Saturday, November 30 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Piérre was a writer and professional artist before moving back from Wyoming to New Mexico in 2004.  His developing interests in the pottery of the Mimbres Culture fit right in with his work with gourds.

Over the years, his specialty work in creating representational pieces of classic Mimbres pottery has led to many gallery and fine art shows throughout the nearby states. Numerous archeologists applaud Nichols for his special technique, turning the gourd into museum pieces. His collectors are from all over the country to include Canada and with, proud to say, Juan Quezada in Mexico.

Because this is likely to be the last major showing of his work since he no longer works in gourds, you are urged to come see and add another piece of his work to your own fine art collection.
