Display your work at Light Art Space in downtown Silver City

Light Art Space is regarded by many as Silver City’s finest art gallery and is located at 209 W. Broadway. The recently renovated historic space features 14-foot high metal ceilings, original wood floors, and contemporary track lighting.  With 54 feet of wall space and ample floor space for 3 dimensional work, the space can easily accommodate the work of many artists.  

The gallery will be fully staffed and will keep regular hours.  The gallery handles all sales (cash and credit cards) with a 40% commission going to the gallery.  The gallery has an alarm system, security cameras and insurance. Artists will supply the gallery with image files for advertising.  The gallery will generate a poster and social media notices.

Details:

Exhibit Dates: Thursday, April 30 – Sunday May 3

Hanging dates: Tuesday April 28 and Wednesday 29 - Artists are responsible for hanging supplies and will hang the exhibition with the assistance of the gallery staff.

De-install: Sunday May 3 from 3pm – 5pm - Artist are responsible for patching and painting walls and leaving the gallery in the same condition as they found it.  Paint and spackle supplied by gallery. 

A reception (staffed by the gallery) can be held Thursday, Friday or Saturday 5 – 7pm

Artists are responsible for all food, drink and clean up.

Gallery Hours: Thursday – Saturday 10am - 5 pm and Sunday 10am – 3pm

Interested artists will meet with the gallery director to review art work to exhibit.

Rental fee: $400 paid at time of reservation
