Announce New Procedures for Court Appearances and Filings
SILVER CITY - The Sixth Judicial District and Magistrate Courts in Grant, Luna and Hidalgo Counties remain open and have implemented procedures to reduce the need for people to visit courthouses.
Court Appearances
Most court appearances will be conducted by videoconferencing or telephone. Please call the court if you have a scheduled hearing and have not received a notice with instructions on how to appear for your hearing by telephone or a video connection with a computer. The court clerk’s office can provide you with the necessary instructions. If you do not have a telephone or online access to technology for a video appearance, you will be allowed to appear in person at the courthouse for your hearing.

If you need to file documents in a pending case, the clerk’s offices in each court accepts filings through email or facsimile. You can submit your pleadings through the following emails and fax numbers:

Our Magistrate Courts are able to accept payments for fines and fees directly over the internet. All payments should be made using the following link https://publicaccess.nmcourts.gov.
