Bayard Police Department

Monday, Sept. 11

Welfare check
Stewart Street
Caller advised they went to knock but the only person who answered was a little girl/unsure if anyone else is home. Officer advised they will be clear/everything is okay with the child.

Saturday, Sept. 12

Missing persons
Stewart Street – 9:12 p.m.
Caller advised that her 20-year-old son has been missing for two days now/she lent him her silver 2008 Honda Civic as he wanted to go to Las Cruces, but caller told him no.

Injuring/tampering with motor vehicle
1101 Tom Foy Blvd.
A named individual threw a beer can through the driver side window.

Sunday, Sept. 13

Stolen motor vehicle
Stewart Street – 11:44 a.m.
Caller advised her vehicle was stolen by her son/the last time she saw the vehicle was on Thursday/her son called last night to say he was going to return the vehicle today but he still has not. Officer spoke with daughter of caller.

Sunday, Sept. 13

Breaking and entering
C Street
Male with a screwdriver trying to get into the back window/residence is vacant. Officer advised something in the back was broken. Deputy advised everything is okay.

Domestic disturbance
Santa Rita Avenue
Caller advised 30-year-old grandson is getting out of hand with his grandmother.

Disturbance
Aztec Avenue
Two houses to the west, a male and a female are having a domestic dispute/could be heard yelling/male is now outside the residence screaming. Deputies and officer have contact with male/they did not hear any yelling.

Monday, Sept. 11

Harassment
N. Mineral Street – 1:14 p.m.
Caller advised the census person keeps going by the address and the trailers are vacant. Officer advised out with the census vehicle at the cemetery/advised wrong vehicle.

Harassment
200 N. Mineral Street – 3:43 p.m.
Advised a census worker who goes and continues to harass caller/worker drives a gray station wagon.

Saturday, Sept. 12

Welfare check
N. Mineral Street
Caller advised that no one has seen a named female in the last week/she is a very bad alcoholic. Officer made entry inside the apartment/unknown where she is/she is not inside the apartment.

Domestic disturbance
S. Bellm Street
Caller advised her 22-year-old son is out of control/it is verbal at this time/he is cussing and yelling at her/it is only her and her son in the home.

Welfare check
Highway 180 – MM 120 (1 mile west of Highway 152 junction)
Male called 911 to ask if we could find him on the map/he was advised yes we can/he then stated never mind, just wanted to see if anyone wants to be a hero. Santa Clara and Bayard PD officers out at Santa Clara armory, Dollar General/everything is okay.

Fort Bayard Cemetery
Male is lying at the cemetery and making a groaning type of sound/he seems out of it and he’s not moving too much. Officer made contact with the male/requested ambulance for a highly intoxicated or under the influence 30-year-old male.
