“It means a lot to a small organization like Silver City Community Theatre (SCCT) to have the support of The Silver City Food Co-op and their December Roundup,” said Phyllis McQuaide, SCCT Board President. “Co-op shoppers can round up when they check out and donate their change to SCCT. This year’s Zoom productions have been fun but costly; the roundup donations of the Co-op community will enable us to keep going through the uncertain future. We are very grateful.”
“SCCT’s Zoom productions—small plays, readings, and a workshop—have been challenging and exciting. We have had great audience support. The Roundup will enable us to keep on Zooming and to put our actors back on the stage as soon as possible. Our next performance is a Christmas Show on December 19th at 7pm. To sign up for SCCT emails go to www.silvercitycommunitytheater.com,” according to McQuaide.
“Be the Community in Community Theater—join SCCT! Individual and family memberships receive tickets and admission to opening night parties and workshops.
Family memberships are $35; individual memberships, $20. Additionally, we have great community sponsors and recognize them in programs and other publications,” according to McQuaide.
A home-grown theater company, SCCT grew out of a series of acting classes presented by The Western Institute for Lifelong Learning (WILL). Several class members joined forces to create the Silver City Community Theatre. Now after 6 years and many productions, SCCT’s mission continues: to enrich, educate and entertain the Silver City and Grant County communities by providing a broad range of live theater experiences on a recurring, seasonal basis.
SCCT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
