Silver City, NM, February 22, 2021—For Immediate Release. Volunteering to take care of our public lands is a great way to help maintain the lands that we all love. On Saturday, March 13 the Gila National Forest, Silver City Ranger District is hosting a volunteer trail cleanup of a portion of the CDT.  

Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Pinos Alto Fire Station located at 4759 NM Hwy 15. The project should wrap up by 12:30 p.m. No registration is necessary. Bring a long-sleeved shirt, pants, sturdy boots, work gloves, sunscreen, water, and lunch. Hand tools will be provided by the Forest Service. Volunteers must provide their own transportation. COVID-19 safe practices will be followed.
