On Saturday, October 23, Guadalupe Montessori School in Silver City is hosting a fall festival FUNraiser.

The event runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will be held on the school’s campus at 1731 N. Alabama Street. Admission is free, and some events will be ticketed.

Families can enjoy hayrides and a petting zoo, while children can also participate in pumpkin games, autumn arts and crafts, and a cake walk.

At 2 p.m., Guadalupe Montessori School alumnus Rafael Vigilantics will give a special reading of his newly released children’s book.

Baked goods by the renowned Guadalupe Montessori School kitchen staff will be sold to benefit student scholarships.

Guadalupe Montessori School was one of the few schools that remained open for the entire 2020/2021 academic year, thanks to the staff’s efforts to implement an entirely outdoor model and to the enrolled families’ diligence. This fall, the private nonprofit school is continuing with mostly outdoor instruction while re-introducing Montessori classroom materials that weren’t available outside.

Those with questions about either the event or the school may call 575-388-3343 or visit guadalupemontessori.org.
