The Southwestern Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico is hosting its annual meeting on Friday, October 29, at 5pm via Zoom. This year’s speaker will be Emily Kaltenbach, Senior Director of Criminal Legal & Policing Reform for Drug Policy Alliance New Mexico. She will be speaking about New Mexico's new law legalizing recreational marijuana and how it attempts to address some of the harms perpetrated on communities of color by the War on Drugs. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

The presentation and Q&A session will be from 5-6:15 pm followed by chapter board elections. All active members of the ACLU are welcome to participate in this process.
