Bayard Police Department

Tuesday, July 12

Accident-injuries
1101 Tom Foy Blvd.
Caller advising she was headed toward Hurley and the other vehicle did not stop at the stop sign coming out of Food Basket/she has a cut on her arm/air bags did deploy/45-year-old female/other vehicle a black Ford Edge. Deputies advise front end damage/leaking fluid/request next wrecker on rotation.

Shooting
Ruby Street
Caller advised a 5-year-old male was shot in the left side of the neck/grandmother is at GRMC at this time. Officer advised see if NMSP can go to residence and secure the home for the officer while he is conducting his investigation at the ER. NMSP officer advised will be securing both homes at this time.

Wednesday, July 13

Suspicious vehicle
East Street and Central Avenue
Advised a black Buick is blocking the roadway. Deputy advised a named male advised the vehicle belongs to his daughter/he is en route to her house to get keys and registration.

Shoplifting
1101 Tom Foy Blvd.
Caller witnessed a named male shoplifting alcohol/he left the store toward Dollar Store. Deputies advised David Gonzales was issued a CTW by BPD Oct. 29, 2015.

Unwanted subject
Guinevan Street
Caller advised a male is on the back patio/he is trying to leave the house with her child who is 3-years-old. Deputy requested emergency traffic only for a walk-through.

Advised her mail is missing from the Bayard Post Office.

Suspicious vehicle
Lusk and Erie streets
White van in front of her grandpa's house/been there for an hour. Officer advised van is leaving the area.

Caller advised a mentally unstable female is in the backyard area near the baseball field/she is yelling at caller and speaking to herself.

Elguea Street
Caller advised a named female is walking up and down the street and acting very erratically. Deputy had negative contact.

Monte Street – North Hurley
Caller advised her son is outside completely undressed/he is mentally unstable/he is aggressive/afraid he may hurt the deputy. During the call caller advised the son was coming back into the home.

Domestic disturbance
North Hurley Road
Advised male is tearing up the house. Officer will be standing by at 5th and Diaz. Deputies have one male in custody.

B Street
Dog bit her 9-year-old son/cancel ambulance/parents will take child in privately owned vehicle. Deputy advised call turned over to Hurley PD.

Harassment
Cortez Avenue
Advised a named male is threatening to go to her residence and shoot her. Verbal domestic/out at a Cortez Avenue address.

Welfare check
Monte Vista Street – North Hurley
Caller is afraid of her stepson who lives behind the Penjamo Bar/he was in the hospital/he has been trying to kill her/he harmed her puppies/female puppy is hurt and cannot use the restroom.
