Audubon field trip participants will meet at 8 am at the Fine Arts Center Parking Lot and carpool up Hwy 15 to Lake Roberts, where we can expect to see a good variety of wintering duck and other waterfowl, plus hopefully Bald Eagles.

There will be some walking along the lakeside on level ground (though it can be slippery/muddy depending on weather conditions), probably between one and two miles in total. We’ll then return to Silver City via the Mimbres Valley, possibly with a brief stop at Bear Canyon Lake and/or the Nature Conservancy property depending on time.

We expect to be back at Silver City between 1 and 2pm. Please bring footwear suitable for the weather conditions and dress warmly. Any questions contact Brian Dolton at 575-388-4210.
