Dona Ana County, NM - On August 15, 2019 at about 12:30 p.m. the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal rollover crash on I-10 west bound around mile post 143 south of Las Cruces, NM. 

The initial investigation indicates that a 2004 Mazda occupied by three teenagers was traveling west bound on Interstate 10 near mile post 143.  For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and rolled. The driver, a seventeen-year-old male, and a passenger, Jenna Rose Dubois (18) of Las Cruces were both ejected from the vehicle.

The driver was transported to an area hospital, his injuries and current condition are unknown. Jenna Rose Dubois sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator. The third passenger, a nineteen-year-old male, was transported to an area hospital, his injuries and current condition are unknown. 

Seatbelts do not appear to have been properly worn by the driver or the passenger that was ejected.  Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.  For privacy of the surviving victims, the identities and hospital location will not be released by State Police at this time. The incident is under investigation by New Mexico State Police Uniform Bureau and the New Mexico State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
