SANTA FE, NM – Time is running out for the New Mexico State Forestry Division Conservation Seedling Program fall sale! Hundreds of young trees and shrubs are still available for purchase through October 11, 2019. These include Afghanistan pine, Arizona cypress, buffaloberry, coyote willow, desert mountain mahogany, eastern redcedar, false indigo bush, and lacebark elm just to name a few.

Seedlings are available to landowners who own at least one acre of property in New Mexico and agree to use the plants for conservation purposes, including wildlife habitat, windbreaks, riparian restoration, erosion control, and reforestation. One-year-old, small container seedlings (10 cu inch container) are available in minimum lots of 49 of the same species for $80. Multi-species bundles are offered in one-season growth containers for the same price. Two-season, large container seedlings (40 cu inch container) are available in lots of 20 for $57. There is a $5 handling fee per order and an additional $10 fee for all UPS orders. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

The last day to order is October 11, 2019. Distribution is currently taking place through October 18, which includes pick up at the State Forestry Division seedling warehouse, Casa de Arboles (Tree House) at 3250 Calle Princessa Juana, in Santa Fe. Warehouse hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Checks are also accepted with mail-in application forms, which can be downloaded from our website. All proceeds are reinvested back into the NM State Forestry Conservation Seedling Program.
