San Miguel County- On January 11, 2020 at about 1:45 p.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a one vehicle fatal crash on County Road B26A and Calle Sabina, near Bernal, NM.

The initial investigation indicated a 1968 Ford F250, driven by Anthony Sedillo (16) of Bernal, NM was traveling north on County Road B26A. For unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, Sedillo sustained fatal injuries in the crash, and he was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator. 

A passenger in the Ford, a fourteen-year-old male of Albuquerque, NM sustained unknown injuries in the crash. He was transported by air to a hospital. His conditions are unknown.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and seatbelts appear to have not been properly utilized. No additional information is available.
