Albuquerque, NM - On January 30, 2020, a narcotics investigation conducted by the New Mexico State Police Street Crimes Unit culminated in a search warrant being executed on a residence located at 536 Madeira Dr SE in Albuquerque. During a search of the residence, which was performed with the assistance of the New Mexico State Police Tactical Team, agents took the following items as evidence:
- Two (2) Short Barrel Shotguns
- Thirteen (13) handguns (3 of which are reported stolen)
- Four (4) Rifles
- $11, 265.00 in United States Currency
- Two (2) Passports (Believed to be Stolen)
- Four (4) New Mexico Driver license (Believed to be Stolen)
- One (1) California Driver license (Believed to be Stolen)
- One (1) Los Lunas Police Department Sergeant Badge (Believed to be Stolen)
- 33.8 grams of Heroin.
- 89 grams of Meth
- 18 grams of methadone
- 35.6 grams Fentanyl
- 2 grams of marijuana.
- 1 Rolex Watch
As a result of the investigation and subsequent search warrant, the owner of the residence Claudio Jose Chavez (35) of Albuquerque was arrested and charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance (4 counts) and Possession of Stolen Property (3 counts). He was booked into the Metro Detention Center.
