(Albuquerque, NM) – Spring in New Mexico can bring strong winds that can cause hazardous and unsafe conditions, especially around electricity. High wind events can be very common around New Mexico from March through June, and PNM has some helpful tips to keep you and your family safe. 

“High winds can present certain challenges and safety concerns,” said Chad Krukowski, director of safety for PNM. “Proper planning and some simple tips can help keep customers safe during strong weather.”

Even if the state is not under a high wind advisory, winds can still present certain safety concerns. Below are some additional tips to consider when going outside to enjoy the spring weather.
