In all construction zones, motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and use extreme caution, as well as continue to be cautious of heavy equipment and construction personnel in the area.

Interstates:

I-25 & University Ave, Mile Marker 1, Las Cruces 

La Calerita Construction, LLC (Contractor) will be continuing roadwork on I-25 and University. The northbound I-25 loop ramp is CLOSED until further notice. Triviz Drive is CLOSED from Arrowhead Drive to Stewart Street so crews can work on the south roundabout. Also closed are the direct connections to the New Mexico State University parking lots from I-25 and north Triviz Drive. Motorists can use Stewart Street and Arrowhead Drive to access S. Triviz Drive, University Avenue and the parking lots during this closure. This work is expected to take about 3 months. There will be ongoing occasional lane closures, with I-25 northbound and southbound reduced to one lane in the area of the bridge during daytime work hours. This work is expected to last for the next 2-3 weeks. Regular work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, traffic control will remain in place 24/7. I-25, Business Loop, Socorro

Structures Inc., (Contractor) will be continuing with construction on the I-25 Business Loop in Socorro. The Socorro North exit 150 off ramp will be closed for bridge deck repairs. There will be a lane closure as needed on the southbound lanes, alternating between the driving lane and the passing lane at mile marker 149. Please follow construction detour signage. Contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. 

I-25, Mile Marker 59 to 60, Caballo 

Hasse Contracting Co., (Contractor) will have a lane closures in effect on I-25 on both northbound and southbound lanes for bridge deck repairs at mileposts 59 to 60. The speed limit will be reduced for the safety of the crew. Closure are expected to be completed by Friday July 17, 2020, weather pending. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. 

I-25, Mile Marker 19 to 175, Radium Springs to Socorro 

San Bar Construction Corp. (Contractor) will be replacing signage along I-25. Traffic can expect shoulder work as needed. Contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2020. 

I-10, Mile Marker 49, Deming Area

Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction on NM 146 “Hatchita Bridge” at I-10 milepost 49. The Bridge is CLOSED; detour will be in place on the frontage road, Separ exit 42 and frontage road, Quincy exit 55. Traffic has been switched into the eastbound lanes as bridge construction begins. An 11 foot width restriction will be in place. Contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday; lane closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 

State Roadways: 

NM 78, Mile Marker 3 to 12, Mule Creek 

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be performing blade-patching operations on NM 78 from milepost 3 to 12, with a flagging operation in place. This closure will be in effect Monday through Thursday, until July 17, 2020 from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm. 

NM 11 and Broadway Ave, NM 9 and Main St, Columbus 

Deming Excavation Inc. (Contractor) will have a lane closures and shoulder work on the intersections of NM 11 and Broadway Ave, Main St. and NM 9 for reconstruction. Construction is scheduled to be completed by August 2020. The speed limit is reduced for the safety of the crew, access and turning restrictions will be in place. Hours of operation will be from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday though Friday. 

NM 187 “El Camino Real”, Mile Marker 15.4 to 16.09, Arrey 

Hasse Contacting Company, Inc. (Contractor) has begun the replacement of Bridges located in Arrey. The first bridge is located at milepost 15.4 near the Caballo Dairy; the second bridge is located at milepost 16.09 near Agua Fria Road over the Montoya Arroyo. Both bridges have a detoured bypass at their locations; a 12 foot width restriction will be in place. Contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday; lane closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 

Hatch Safety Improvement Project 

Hasse Contacting Company, Inc. (Contractor) will continue roadway improvement project along NM 26 “W Hall Street” from milepost 45 “Placitas Ave” to milepost 47.3 on “N Franklin Street”. NM 185 “E Hall Street” from milepost 35.2 to milepost 35.4 “Popular Street”. NM 187 “El Camino Real” from milepost 0 to 0.6 “N Castaneda Rd.” Road Improvements will begin with the replacement and upgrade of sidewalk, curb and gutter and ramps to include ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accommodations. Sidewalks will be detoured in areas for construction and the safety of the public. Contractor hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm daily. 

NM 187 “El Camino Real”, Mile Marker 0.9 to 6, Hatch 

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) has completed paving operations. Lane closures with a flagging operation will be in place for guardrail and barrier wall installation along NM 187 “El Camino Real” from milepost o.9 to milepost 6. An 11 foot with restriction is in place. Contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. 

Chip Seal Projects, Socorro Co: 

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be performing “Fog Sealing” with Brooming operations in Socorro Co. Speed limits will be reduced, no center stripe with loose gravel on roadway. Traffic will encounter lane drops with pilot car and flagging operations. Roadways affected will be: 

Frontage Road 2038, 2039, 2040, and 2041 will have daily traffic control in place for Fog Sealing operations. 

Frontage Road 2043, 2044, 2046, 2049, 2050, 2051, 2052, NM 1 and NM 408 have been completed, continue to use caution as roadway is not sealed or striped, speed reduced with loose gravel on roadway. 

Las Cruces Projects – City of Las Cruces: 

Court Avenue Between Alameda Blvd. and Water St. will be open to residential traffic only. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution. 

Nevada Avenue From Walnut to Lees will have road work, access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution. 

El Paso Projects – Go 10/Border West Expressway Closures are posted on the TxDOT website: http://www.txdot.gov/inside-txdot/media-center/local-news/el-paso.html
