Rio Rancho, NM – August 4, 2020 – Dr. Michelle Bean, a breast cancer survivor, was inspired by her own journey with breast cancer to empower others. Dr. Bean and her twin sister were both diagnosed with breast cancer – six weeks apart. Both survived, and with her knowledge gained through her own breast cancer experience, she is passionate about serving others and providing hope to women during their breast cancer journey. Dr. Bean is launching PINK “ME,” on September 7, 2020 – a non-profit organization. PINK “ME” is an acronym for: Providing Information, Networking, and Knowledge, “My Experience.” This represents the mission of PINK “ME,” which is to compassionately support women during and after their breast cancer journey by offering emotional support, financial assistance, and hope, as no one should face breast cancer alone.

One of the PINK “ME” programs is Connected by Cells, a program created as part of Dr. Bean’s vision for the organization “changing something that’s commonly heard when diagnosed with breast cancer – having cancerous cells – into a positive virtual support platform that allows women to obtain information needed for their journey, connect and network with others, all while being compassionately supported.”

Other programs PINK “ME” is offering include:

Breast Cancer Treatment Health Assistance Program

This program is offered quarterly or every 3 months (or 4 times per year) and is for women currently diagnosed with breast cancer. Financial assistance provided of up to $1,500.

Survivor Health and Wellness Health Assistance Program

This program is offered quarterly or every 3 months (or 4 times per year) and is for breast cancer survivors post 1 year treatment. Financial assistance provided of up to $600.

Dr. Bean will launch PINK “ME” from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. MDT September 7, 2020 with a free virtual event that features keynote presentations by Dr. Jill Dietz, President of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and Dr. Linda Ann Smith of X-Ray Associates.

Everyone is invited to participate. Register at PINK "ME"
