SANTA FE – New Mexican families can now access a self-service portal to check their children’s eligibility for Pandemic-EBT benefits and update addresses, the state Human Services Department announced today.

The new portal can be accessed through the Human Services Department’s online tool Yes NM (https://www.yes.state.nm.us/yesnm/home/index). Additionally, the link has been posted on the Public Education Department website.

Registration is not required to access the portal, but the following information will be required to check a student’s eligibility for P-EBT benefits:

Once this information is validated and your student’s eligibility is determined, parents/guardians may view and, if necessary, change the address on file with their student’s school.

“We are excited to launch this portal to help New Mexico families access services and information,” said Karmela Martinez, director of the Income Support Division in the Human Services Department.

Students who attend Bureau of Indian Education Schools, charter schools or private schools and do not have a student ID number, please call the P-EBT Hotline at 1-833-415-0569.

The Pandemic-EBT program compensates families with children who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals that they missed during remote learning. The amount of compensation is based on the number of meals a child was unable to receive while a school was in remote learning from the start of this academic year through September.

The Human Services Department provides services and benefits to more than 1 million New Mexicans through several programs including: the Medicaid Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Child Support Program, and several Behavioral Health Services.
