New District Directors
SANTA FE, NM – New Mexico County Insurance Authority (NMCIA) membership elected four geographical district directors on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 during the NMC Virtual Legislative Conference. They will assume their responsibilities immediately and serve a two-year term through the next annual membership meeting in January 2023.
Taos County Commissioner and NMC Representative Jim Fambro was re-elected as the Northwest district director; Lance Pyle, Curry County Manager and Vice Chair was re-elected as the Northeast district director; John Sweetser, Luna County Commissioner was re-elected as the Southwest district director; and Amber Hamilton, Roosevelt County Manager was elected to a vacant position as the Southeast district director. The vacancy was created by retired Chaves County Deputy Assessor and Chair Ron Lethgo who, served NMC and NMCIA for 28 years.
“The NMCIA Pool is well served by these four individuals who bring a depth of county knowledge and experience to the board of directors,” said Risk Management Director Taylor Horst. “We welcome new member Amber Hamilton and look forward to the perspective she will bring to the organization.
NMCIA is a county insurance pool that provides coverage for workers’ compensation, property, liability, and law enforcement for member counties.
