ALBUQUERQUE, NM---Today, Attorney General Balderas announced that John Dickman was convicted of three counts of sexual exploitation of children through manufacture and two other related charges. Dickman and his wife Crystal Dickman, sexually abused two young girls in their care and made child sexual abuse materials involving the girls, who were both younger than six years old. Crystal Dickman previously pled guilty to similar crimes and was sentenced to 18 years for her role.  Yesterday, in Bernalillo County District Court, John Dickman pleaded guilty to five charges and was sentenced to 38 years in prison.

“My office continues to seek justice for children who are abused,” said Attorney General Balderas. “I am grateful that our office was able to secure justice and hold these individuals accountable for the heinous crimes they committed.”

The case originated from a tip received at the Attorney General’s Office from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The case was investigated by Agent Anna Trujillo of the Office Attorney General and prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Bryan McKay.
