A lucky fan will be selected at halftime to attempt three goals earning up to $2,500 for local charities

(Albuquerque, N.M.) – Today, PNM announced it will be funding 10 local nonprofits with ‘The PNM PowerKick’ at New Mexico United home soccer matches where a lucky fan will be selected at halftime to kick three goals, earning up to $2,500 for each locally selected charity.

“We are proud to partner with New Mexico United and generate excitement about support for local nonprofits,” said Pat Vincent- Collawn, Chairman, President and CEO of PNM Resources. “We know that strong nonprofits are key to a thriving New Mexico and while delivering power is at the core of PNM, investing in our community is a critical piece of the company’s values.”

“New Mexico United is fueled by a passion for community, and ‘The PNM PowerKick’ is another opportunity to bring New Mexicans together for a unique halftime challenge that benefits local nonprofits in need of the support PNM is graciously providing,” said Peter Trevisani, President, CEO and majority owner of New Mexico United.

At halftime of each New Mexico United home game, a lucky fan will be selected from the stands to attempt three goals that could earn money for nonprofits. The first kick will be from the 6-yard line and earns that night’s nonprofit a $500 donation from PNM, the second kick will be from the penalty spot and will earn a $750 donation, and the final kick will be from the 18-yard box and will earn a $1,250 donation. If kicks are missed, that night’s nonprofit will still receive a minimum $1,500 PNM donation.

The 10 local nonprofits lucky fans will be kicking for include:

  1. The Storehouse of New Mexico (Game date – Wednesday, June 16)
