SANTA FE, N.M. – In accordance with congressional direction in the Inflation Reduction Act, Bureau of Land Management New Mexico started a 30-day scoping period to receive public input on 45 parcels totaling 10,123.91 acres that may be included in an upcoming lease sale.

The parcels the BLM will analyze, as well as maps and instructions on how to comment are available on our ePlanning website at https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/2021616/570

Future BLM lease sales will include updated fiscal provisions authorized in the Inflation Reduction Act: 

  • Minimum bids for all offered parcels will be $10 per acre, an increase from the $2 per acre minimum bid set in 1987;
  • Royalty rates will be 16.67 percent, up from the previous minimum of 12.5 percent; and
  • Rental rates will be $3 per acre for the first two years, $5 per acre for years three through eight, and $15 per acre in years nine and ten. Prior to the Inflation Reduction Act, rental rates were $1.50 per acre for the first five years and $2 per acre for each year thereafter, rates originally set in 1987.

SANTA FE, N.M. – En conformidad con la dirección del congreso en el Acto de Inflacion y reduccion, La Oficina de Administration de tierras de Nuevo Mexico empezará un periodo calendario de 30 dias para recibir la opinion pública de las 45 (Cuarenta y cinco) parcelas totalizando 10,123.91 (Diez mil ciento veinte y dos y noventa y cinco) hectareas que deberían estar incluidas en el próximo contrato de arrendamiento. 

Las Parcelas de la Oficina de Administracion de Tierras serán analizadas como tambien los mapas e instruciones en como hacer los comentarios y estan disponibles en nuestra página electrónica ePlanning https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/2021616/570.    

El future contrato de arrendamiento de la Oficina Administrativa de Tierras incluirá autorizadas y recientes provisiones fiscales del Acto de Inflacion y Reduction.

  • Minimas ofertas para todas las parcelas seran ofrecidas a $10 (Diez ) dólares por hectarea, un incremento de $2.00 (dos) dólares por hectarea un incremento minimo desde 1987; 
  • Las tarifas de regalias serán de 16.67 (Dieciseis y sesenta y siete) por encima del minimo anterior de 12.5 (Doce y medio) por ciento; y
  • Las tarifas de renta serán de $3(Tres) dólares por hectarea por los dos primeros años, $5 (cinco) dólares por hectarea por los siguients de tres a ochos años, y $15 (quince) por hectarea en los siguientes nueve a diez años. Anterior a el Acto de la Reducion e Inflacion, los precios de renta fueron de $1.50 (un dolar y medio) por hectarea por los primeros cinco años y de $2 (dos) dólares por hectarea for cada año despues de las tarifas establecidas originalmente desde 1987.
