pruit copyMargaret J. Pruit passed away January 21, 2020 in Texas. A Visitation will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 27, 2020 beginning at 6:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Bright Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery.  She was born on October 11, 1931, in Lindenwold, New Jersey, to

Elda and David Johns. She was the youngest of five children. Before she was age two, the family moved to Silver City, New Mexico, where she called home. She graduated from Silver High and Western New Mexico University.

Marge was a talented artist. Her passion was wooden windmills. Anytime the family drove by old wooden windmills with beautiful sceneries, she would go home and paint what she saw. She proudly displayed, sold, or gave away much of her work.

She loved to bowl and enjoyed her Lady’s League, especially the tournaments they competed in. She enjoyed playing cards, as well as fishing and hunting with her husband, Wayne, and her children, Brett, Peggy, and Sherri. She loved their home in Alpine, Arizona, where she enjoyed the peace and serenity her visits brought.

Marge was always involved in her children’s activities. She coached her daughters and friends softball teams. She was there for her grandchildren at their games and activities and was known as their biggest fan.

Small in stature yet a lady known to have a huge heart! Marge was loving and giving, but stubborn to a fault. She did not waiver if she felt she was right. Her hands had the strength that many men did not. Her shoulders were wide and her heart was huge for a woman who stood in the frame of a tiny woman. So many sat at her table and poured their hearts out to her. She would keep their secrets and never budge. She would stand by her kids and grandchildren and never waiver. She opened her home to several whom her children loved as brothers and sisters. Her daughters continue to hear stories of Mom and Dad’s unconditional love.

Marge was the proud “Nana” to 10 grandchildren. Matt and wife Brandy, Tim and wife Mel, Nicole and husband Mike, Justin and wife Jacqueline, Ashley and husband Dustin, Chris, Wes, Cody and wife Erin, DJ and wife Heather, and Danielle and husband Frankie. She had 24 great-grandchildren; Matt, Shalynn, Julia, Kimberly, Brittany and Derrick, Nicki, Brandey, Gabby, Kimber, Lucas, Eli, Ameilya, Alayna, Adalea, Elizabeth, Hunter, Layla, Cooper, Parker, Charlie, Joey, and Cadence. She had 3 great-great-grandchildren; Xaria, Tayson, and Davie.  She left a legacy.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents Elda and David Johns, her husband Wayne, her siblings David, Evelyn, Betty and Lois, her son Brett, and two grandbabies Angelea and Auderina, all of whom she loved very much. They’ve all met her in heaven and rejoiced.  She was a member of the LDS Church and knew her Heavenly Father.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Matt Tavizon, Tim Tavizon, Justin McCarty, Mike Riegle, DJ Pruit, Chris Turner, Cody Turner, and Wesley Meyer. Honorary Pallbearers are her sons’-in-law, Ray Tavizon and Brian Meyer, all of whom she loved so very much.  Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  “A Loving and Caring Place to Celebrate, Honor and Remember a life lived”, 210 W.
