Sally M. Gutierrez, 90, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born June 8, 1929 in Lordsburg, NM to Joe Martinez and Cecilia Radon Martinez. Sally was born and raised in Lordsburg, NM.  Her parents, Joe and Cecilia often brought Sally and her brother Joe to Silver City to visit her grandparents. She was the apple of her parents’ eye. She always said she was very spoiled.  At a very young age she met and married the love of her life, Mike C. Gutierrez. They moved to Los Angeles, CA where they raised their three children. She taught, protected, healed and loved them their entire lives. 

She was a successful secretary/nurse for two doctors along with other various jobs. Sally was a survivor of breast cancer for over 15 years. Her quick wit and sense of humor will certainly be missed. Sally kept her sharp mind up until the very end.  She would remember every one of her family members birthdates or special occasions. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends ~ we love you Mom, “Nana Sally” and we’ll see you soon! She is survived by her son, Thomas Gutierrez and fiancé Carlene of Silver City; one daughter, Norma Trento of Silver City; daughter in-law, Monica Gutierrez; two sisters in-law, Connie Saucedo of Lordsburg; Amparo Martinez of San Diego, CA; her cat, Missy.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mike C. Gutierrez (2014); her son, Michael Gutierrez; her brother, Joe Martinez of San Diego, CA; No service will be held per her wishes. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
